The tiles are fired samples from Chrysanthos. The final colour depends on the clay, the number of coats and the firing — we suggest trying a test tile first. Firing range
Cone 06 (approx. 1000°C) – Cone 04 (approx. 1060°C)
The cone is the main measure of firing; °C is approximate and depends on the heating rate. What is a cone?
How to use
Knead or squeeze the bottle to soften the glaze; if it is thick, warm it gently in warm water. Cut the tip to the size you want and apply to low-fire greenware or bisque to build a raised design; squeeze gently for an even line. It can go directly on bisque, over another glaze, or be covered with glaze itself. Use the applicator bottle for precision, a palette knife or sponge for free texture. The line keeps its shape in the kiln. All colours are intermixable; mix in One Stroke colours for more shades. Without clear glaze it fires matt. Let it dry completely before applying clear glaze and firing.
Safety
Cap the tip after use and wash your hands. Keep out of reach of children.
