The tiles are fired samples from Chrysanthos. The final colour depends on the clay, the number of coats and the firing — we suggest trying a test tile first. Instructions
Firing range
Cone 06 (approx. 1000°C) – Cone 04 (approx. 1060°C)
The cone is the main measure of firing; °C is approximate and depends on the heating rate. What is a cone?
Food safety
Food safe when the piece is fully covered, with no bare spots, and correctly fired.
How to use
Shake or stir well before use; thin with clean water if needed. Brush 2 even coats onto low-fire bisque, alternating direction, and let each coat dry completely. Satin, semi-matt finish. Unlike other matt glazes this series forgives uneven application — the easiest choice for beginners. For a softened effect, the clear version (LS073) can go over underglazes. Colours do not bleed; all colours are intermixable.
Safety
Wash hands after use. Store tightly closed in a cool, dark place. Taking pieces out of the kiln too early can make the surface craze. Keep out of reach of children.
