The tiles are fired samples from Chrysanthos. The final colour depends on the clay, the number of coats and the firing — we suggest trying a test tile first. Firing range
Cone 06 (approx. 1000°C) – Cone 04 (approx. 1060°C)
The cone is the main measure of firing; °C is approximate and depends on the heating rate. What is a cone?
Food safety
If the piece is covered entirely with this series and correctly fired, it is food safe even without clear glaze. When used together with other series, the piece must be fully covered with clear glaze.
How to use
Shake or stir well before use; thin with clean water if needed. Brush 1–3 coats onto low-fire bisque, letting each coat dry completely. One coat is translucent, three give full coverage. The key feature of this series: it fires to a glossy surface on its own — no clear glaze needed. That makes it ideal for paint-your-own-pottery (PYOP) studios. Use straight from the bottle or with a sponge. All colours are intermixable and do not bleed. Compatible with Underglaze and One Stroke.
Safety
Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children.
