Colours

Prices will be added as soon as the first shipment arrives in Tbilisi. Until then you can add items to your list and send it — we will let you know the price.

The tiles are fired samples from Chrysanthos. The final colour depends on the clay, the number of coats and the firing — we suggest trying a test tile first. Instructions

Firing range

Cone 06 (approx. 1000°C) – Cone 10 (approx. 1300°C), depending on the colour: 06–03 (approx. 1000–1100°C), 06–6 (approx. 1000–1220°C) or 06–10 (approx. 1000–1300°C)

The cone is the main measure of firing; °C is approximate and depends on the heating rate. What is a cone?

Food safety

Food safe once covered with clear glaze and correctly fired.

When is a piece food safe?

How to use

Shake or stir well before use; thin with clean water if needed. With a soft brush apply 1–3 coats to greenware or bisque, letting each coat dry completely before the next — rushed coats leave streaks. Three coats give even, opaque coverage without streaks. For a food-safe surface apply clear glaze on top — for low fire, Superior Clear SG213 (cone 07–03) — and fire at the matching temperature. Without clear glaze the surface stays matt, suitable for decorative pieces only. Colours do not bleed; all colours are intermixable. Also suitable for screen printing, with no additives.

Safety

Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children.
