The tiles are fired samples from Chrysanthos. The final colour depends on the clay, the number of coats and the firing — we suggest trying a test tile first. Instructions
How to use
Shake or stir well before use; thin with clean water if needed. For a silky surface brush 3 smooth coats onto mid-fire bisque, alternating direction, and let each coat dry completely. Satin, soft pastel finish. The series is formulated to leave no brush marks, but it takes care and patience — skimping on coats shows in the result. Colours do not bleed; all colours are intermixable.
Firing range
Cone 4 (approx. 1190°C) – Cone 8 (approx. 1260°C)
The cone is the main measure of firing; °C is approximate and depends on the heating rate. What is a cone?
Food safety
Food safe when the piece is fully covered, with no bare spots, and correctly fired.
Safety
Do not spray or sand dry glaze — this can release silica dust. Wash hands after use. Keep out of reach of children.
